The Cattery
We are a family run Cat Only boarding facility. We provide luxury, stress free, safe accommodation for cats while owners holiday, renovate, work away from home and many more reasons! Your cat will be cared for by a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and with a Certificate in Feline Behaviour and Psychology.
We provide an outdoor enclosure where each cat will get a chance to stretch their legs, get some fresh air and have a change of scenery each day. Cats never mix with other cats unless they are from the same household and owners have requested it.
The cattery is purpose built and fully insulated. In 2023, we extended to include new PRESTIGE PODS. These are individual rooms for your cat (ideal for the more nervous cats) with a large window to watch the local hedgehogs roam by. They have their own electric stoves and cameras to monitor cats movement throughout the day.
In the standard kennels we have the Penthouse Suite, which has a large south facing secure window which allows lots of natural light throughout the cattery and views of the gardens and countryside. The outdoor enclosure gets sunshine all day long and cats can chose to be outside or inside freely while they are in this enclosure.
Meet the Owner
My name is Amy! I qualified as a vet nurse in 2009 and registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. In 2007 I began working part-time in a veterinary hospital until I qualified and then proceeded to work as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from 2009.
- In 2012 I decided to open my own cat only boarding kennels in Clonmel. 🐈
- In 2013 I became a Mammy to a little boy we named Michael. 👶
- I also completed a graduate Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management.
- In 2014, myself and PJ bought our home and got married 👰
- In 2015, we moved the cattery to our home. 🏡
- In 2016, we had a little girl we named Ella Mai 👶
- I also changed career and begun teaching veterinary nursing in Cork. 👩🏫
- And we built on our outdoor enclosure onto the cattery!
- In 2018, we had another little girl we named Kaitlyn 👶
- In 2019, I decided to return to my roots of veterinary nursing in Southview Veterinary Hospital (I missed being able to help animals and doing what I know I’m good at! 🐩🐰🐈🐾
- In 2020 I completed a Certificate in Feline Behaviour and Psychology.
We currently have 6 cats of our own (Oreo, Tom, Tinkerbell, Roux, Robin and Izzy).
We also have a dog, Dora, that hates to gets her paws wet outdoors and spends her days and nights by the stove.
